Volcanoes National Park
Northwestern Rwanda, bordering Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Established in 1925, Volcanoes is Africa's oldest national park and is famous for its mountain gorillas and volcanic landscapes. The best time to visit is June-September, December-February. By road: 2-3 hours from Kigali.
