Mt Kilimanjaro National Reserve
Northeastern Tanzania, near the Kenyan border. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak and the world's tallest free-standing mountain. The reserve protects the mountain's unique ecosystems and climbing routes. The best time to visit is January-March, June-October. By road: 1 hour from Moshi. By air: Kilimanjaro International Airport.
